- Results: Working with one of our partner companies we located a product that met many but not all requirements. We arranged a creative deal where our partner performed R&D to modify their own product and then supplied this to meet the needs of our client with very aggressive schedule and pricing.

Case Study: Commercial Grade Satellite Receiver – 1
- Client: $1B+ per annum supplier of wireless communications systems.
- Situation: Client identified need for new satellite receiver platform with a unique encryption system. Both cost and delivery times were very demanding.
- Results: We developed an entirely new hardware platform and incorporated our customer's control software and encryption into it. In production since 2003, this product is the most widely used commercial grade receiver in the industry. We have since added two more similar products to our client’s product portfolio.

- Client: $300M per annum supplier of wireless communications systems
- Situation: With a large domestic commercial and military business, this client wanted to expand into the international market place but needed two key products in order to capitalize on new opportunities. Both cost and delivery times were very demanding.
- Results: We identified their exact hardware need at one of our partner companies and then incorporated a new conditional access system within 3 months. Both these products have been in continuous delivery for over 5 years and a new generation of MPEG-4 High Definition product is under development now.

- Client: $30M per annum supplier of commercial satellite communications solutions and hardware.
- Situation: Client committed to aggressive cost and delivery targets on a $35 million contract and had run into major impediments on both cost and delivery.
- Results: Within two months, we redesigned their commercial grade satellite receiver, while incorporating their encryption system at a 25% cost reduction. We delivered in excess of 100,000 pieces over a five year period achieving all delivery milestones.

- Situation: Established business was profitable and growing, but persistent delivery issues were causing customer service issues
- Results: Thorough analysis revealed that certain products had product design/producibility issues that increased costs, caused delivery delays, and created quality problems. Leading a multi-functional internal team, we affected the redesign of several products and managed the hardware development of three new and critically important products. These products were successfully introduced and have been shipping for a number of months.
